Taubenheim Gelbvieh, Amherst, Neb., held their 25th annual production sale February 2nd, 2015 at the ranch. A cool morning with a little snow on the ground led up to a great sale. The offering of stout and powerful bulls, and easy keeping females made a lot of friends on sale day.

TAU Sniper 96B, a homozygous black and homozygous polled son of TAU Top Gun 292Y caught a lot of attention in the yards in Denver, and his potential as a Balancer® A.I. sire was recognized by many on sale day. After lots of interest and active bidding Judd Ranch of Pomona, Ks became owners of this super attractive powerhouse herdsire at $17,000.

TAU Mr. Prosperity 151B, a carcass and performance stud that posted a yearling weight of 1464 lbs. and scanned a 17.2 REA along with a 4.1 IMF also brought $17,000. He is a February 19th son of Vision Prosperity 2324. When the gavel dropped he found a new home with longtime customer Lynn Estergard of Oconto, Ne.

TAU Mr. Grid Topper 21B a member of the Reserve Champion Pen of Five Balancers® in Denver was a stand out on sale day. His attractive look gained him a lot of attention especially that of Bar Arrow Gelbvieh of Phillipsburg, Ks who added him to their herd bull battery for $15,000

TAU Mr. Focus 40B a member of the Champion Pen of Three Balancers® was the next high seller. This half-blood calving ease sire has a lot of A.I. potential and Tim Mulroy of Mayetta, Ks recognized his potential purchasing 40B for $14,500.

TAU Mr. Consensus 164B a 50% son of the popular A.I. sire Connealy Consensus and backed by a great red cow caught the eye of Jerry Grund who purchased him for $13,500.

TAU Blackshirt 8B the Purebred Futurity entry caught the eye of many breeders on sale day and was the high selling purebred. This embryo calf is out of HYEK Black Impact and backed by a great donor cow. He found a new home with Holle Gelbvieh of Oberlin, Ks for $10,000.

The high selling pair was Ms. Hoover Dam 3032A a powerful brood cow with an attractive heifer calf at side. She sold to Cooper Gelbvieh of Burdett, Ks for $4,000.

3 spectacular bred heifers sold for $3,500 and they went to 3 different homes. Buyers were Holle Gelbvieh of Oberlin, Ks, Herink Gelbvieh, Clutier, Ia and Jaylae Pope of Ravenna, Ne.

V and G Gelbvieh of Deweese, Ne bought the high selling yearling female. Ms. Grid Topper 497B a powerhouse female was added to their replacement pen for $2,500.

Volume buyers were Don Maclennan of Byers, Co, Herink Gelbvieh of Clutier, Ia, V and G Gelbvieh of Deweese, Ne, Bruce Sprangler of Callaway, Ne and the Schilling family of McCook, Ne.
